I could see on my WAN Router, providing the DHCP service, which the printer was asking for and that it got allocated its usual IP Address. The actual firmware upgrade using LAN Connection took several minutes upgrading firmware 1, 2 and 3 (no firmware 4 in my printer) ending as described in chapter 2-3 step 8 "Firmware update is complete.
